About Me
I originally trained as an Opera Singer at the Royal College of Music in London before completing a Masters in Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting. Alongside my 10 year teaching career I have worked extensively as both a singer / actor and I bring this experience to my singing lessons / vocal coaching.
Performing credits include : West Side Story, Blondel (Sir Tim Rice), A Christmas Carol (Alan Menken / London Musical Theatre Orchestra), Candide (LMTO), Disco Sucks the Musical, Bridgerton (Secret Cinema), Dirty Dancing (Secret Cinema), An Evening with Sir Tim Rice (Seabourn Cruise Line/ Belinda King Creative Productions), Carmen, La Dirindina and the Thursford Christmas Spectacular, as well as appearing as a Guest Entertainer on various cruise lines and in concert across the UK as a soloist. On top of my performing credits I have worked as a Vocal Captain with both Secret Cinema and Seabourn Cruise Line helping my fellow performers maintain show standards and providing advice/guidance in relation to vocal health/ stamina.
As a teacher I have taught privately for ten years teaching both children and adults. Companies I have worked with include: Stagecoach, Footlights, Sing Education, Danceworks, Manchester L&G Chorus, Altrincham Theatre Choir and the Guildford School of Acting.
I have a keen interest in vocal health and vocal maintenance and I am a qualified Vocal Health First Aider. By combining my various training and professional experience I have developed a versatile tool kit to help students at all levels from absolute beginner to professionals in the industry.
As well as teaching adults I have a wealth of experience working with children of all ages. I have a completed enhanced DBS check and I am also a licensed chaperone. I am also currently the singing teacher at Stagecoach Salford.
